Overview
Three members of RCCJ visited elderly people with Dementia at Sriti Sudhay, the Daycare Centre run by the Alzheimer’s & Related Disorders Society of India (ARDSI), Calcutta Chapter.
We spent time with the inmates and participated in their ongoing therapy activities. The Secretary General of ARDSI, Calcutta Chapter, Nilanjana Maulik shared some of her interesting experiences.
We discussed the possibility of taking the people with dementia to a pre-school run by our member Rtn. Pausali Paul to attend the Christmas celebration.
As a token of compassion, we took some sweets and biscuits for the patients and caregivers.
In order to abide by the guidelines maintained by ARDSI, only three members were allowed to visit at a time. This was a great experience for the members who visited the day care.
