Community Service Donating bench and table to Ratanpur FP School Rotary Club of Calcutta Jadavpur donated 12 bench sets and 2 teacher’s tables to the newly constructed Class V classroom at Ratanpur F.P. School, Sankarpur, Baruipur, under the supervision of President Rtn. (Dr.) Saiful Anam Mir. The need was identified during a club-led assessment, where the school highlighted the lack of classroom furniture as a major constraint. The entire project, costing ₹47,200, was generously sponsored by Ms. Deborupa Pal, daughter of Rtn. Pausali Paul. Community Service Giving back little Shifa the ability to hear: Phase 1 During a need assessment at Ratanpur FP School, RCCJ identified six-year-old Shifa Laskar with profound hearing impairment. Community Service Providing treatment for glaucoma to an impoverished family For the past three years, Rotary Club of Calcutta Jadavpur has been supporting an impoverished glaucoma-affected family from Berachampa, where nearly 40% of members across five generations have suffered from glaucoma and all affected individuals lost vision in one or both eyes. The club facilitates regular screening, genetic diagnosis, medication, surgery, and patient logistics under the leadership of Rtn. (Dr.) Asim Sil at Netra Niramay Niketan, Vivekananda Mission Ashram.
